after playing 35 minutes last night, you can’t even deny that Chara is a beast (and possibly a wonderful wonderful troll)

It makes me laugh when other teams try to get in Tuukka’s head by chanting his name
Hello do you not realize that we do that to praise him….he loves it…it’s like striking his ego
“We know that hockey is where we live, where we can best meet and overcome pain and wrong and death. Life is just a place where we spend time between games.” - Fred Shero
you’re gonna do some of this
and some of this
and of course some of this
and then your fans will be all like

WHEN MY MOM CALLS JUST TO SAY HI:
WHEN SOMEONE REALLY HOT FROM MY CLASS ASKS ME TO TEACH THEM BASICALLY EVERYTHING WE LEARNED THIS SEMESTER:
The game of ice hockey means a whole lot of things to a whole lot of people. For some it’s an outlet, for others, a way of life. Whether you’re looking to escape or looking for unity. The game night rituals we all go through, whether it’s in the locker room, on the rink or in our own living rooms unite us all when the first puck hits the ice.
Then we wait
We wait for that moment that takes our breath away. The big hit, the gloves dropping, the go ahead goal. That moment that turns ordinary men into our heroes and weekend nights into unforgettable memories. Have you ever followed your team from the very start to the final whistle? You don’t just watch, you experience and you share this with thousands of others that cheered along with you all while silently knowing exactly why you’re all there all there. Sports fans understand why their team matters and why they cheer. At times we ask eachother why do we care so much? After all they say, it’s only just a game. Only a game? Hardly.
This has never been only a game, it means too much to too many people for too many reasons for it to be, just a game.
